Originally conceived as a multimedia dance performance by the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, Ferocious Beauty: Genome was designed to explore the current movement of revelation and questioning in genetic research. We are now reconceiving Ferocious Beauty: Genome as a one-hour high-definition television program for the prestigious PBS series, Great Performances. In this groundbreaking project, dance is used to reach audience members who may not understand the complicated science of genetics.
